Answers/Daily packaging

What can replace bubble wrap for small parcels?

Compare honeycomb paper wrap, paper padding, fitted inserts and void fill for the parcel's actual damage risk. They are not universal drop-in replacements for bubble wrap. Use a suitable outer box, separate fragile items and evaluate the complete pack before changing your dispatch material.

First distinguish surface protection, impact cushioning and void fill. A wrapping layer may separate surfaces without providing enough protection for a heavy or fragile item. The carrier guidance linked below treats the outer box and internal protection as a system, not a material-name guarantee.

For a useful enquiry, send the item dimensions and weight, fragile features, outer-box size, shipping route and packing quantity. Request the supplied paper or film specification, roll dimensions and instructions. Compare the assembled pack, not just the cost per roll.

HoneyWrap and the paper void-fill entries on Toreso are proposals. No published Toreso transit test establishes a layer count or approval for glass. Confirm the actual material, trial the pack and check the local collection route before making protection or recycling claims to your customers.

Is honeycomb paper enough for glass?

There is no universal layer count or verified Toreso glass-shipping test. Match cushioning, separation and the outer carton to the item, and evaluate the whole pack for its route.

What is void fill for?

Void fill occupies unused space to help limit movement inside a box. Do not treat that role as proof of suitable impact protection for a fragile item.
